Why we started Micantis.
In 2022, two veterans from the battery and software industries came together with one vision: transform how battery data is analyzed and used.
Howard Alt brought 20+ years of experience in software and systems engineering, recognising how modern data infrastructure could change battery development. Jonathan Awerbuch brought 15+ years in physics based modeling and data driven analysis, having led commercial modeling software at UL Solutions and HOMER Energy.
They saw an industry drowning in data and starving for insight. Every project meant months of testing, manual data wrangling, and decisions made without the full picture.
Together, they founded Micantis to help battery teams build safer, more reliable cells faster, through intelligent data automation and one unified platform.
