Our Story
In 2022, two experienced professionals from the battery and software industries came together with a vision to transform how battery data is analyzed and utilized.
Howard Alt brought over 20 years of experience in software and systems engineering, recognizing how modern data infrastructure could transform battery development. Jonathan Awerbuch contributed more than 15 years of expertise in physics-based modeling and data-driven analysis, having led development of industry-standard commercial modeling software at UL Solutions and HOMER Energy.
They recognized that the battery industry was drowning in data but starving for insights. Every project involved months of testing, manual data processing, and decisions made without the full picture.
Together, they founded Micantis to build better batteries faster through intelligent data automation, backed by strategic industry partnerships and private financing.
